There are select seats vacant on the Board of the 501(c)(3) NFP, the Seaman’s Institute at Snug Harbor, for an NFP-MBA, a CPA, an ESQ, a PHD/Academic, a Master Unlimited, a Chief Unlimited, a Chef Unlimited, Non & Union Owner Representation,  a Union Crew Representative, a Coast Guardsperson, an Elected Official, a NGO Rep., Chamber of Commerce seat, a Recording Secretary, a Marina Master/Boatman, and a CFO.  Please phone 718-442-5171.

The NFP provides direction and future planning to the School; Manages the promotion, collection, allocation and distribution the Scholarship and Equipment funds; and under the neutral flag of Academics, conducts coalition building events, seeks grants and tax deductible funds privately and industry-wide with economic, educational, entertainment, and retail events.

The NFP Wish List: Benevolent Plank Sponsors; A safe tug berth; SMART Boards, Projectors, Manipulatives for the classrooms; The Courses QMED & DDE Engine Room, RADAR, Basic Safety Training-Refresher, Firefighting Simulation Program,  OICNW Series, RFPNW Series, RFPEW Series, GMDSS; Transport & Installation of our free gravity davit lifeboat & assembly from Florida to an undetermined site in NY Harbor;  and, Administrative Assistants.
